Removing Lip Stick Stains on Fabric

No matter how you try to avoid it, there are times when you just get lip stick stains on your clothes.

And since these stains aren’t usually noticed right away, having them set in for a longer period of time just means that they are even more difficult to remove. But before you do anything, better check what kind of fabric your garment is.

This will help you in determining whether you can get the stain out for yourself or of you have to go seek for professional assistance. Lip stick is oil based so for a home remedy, go search for something that combats grease.

You can try using alcohol on the stain. With a clean cloth, dab it in the alcohol then let it blot on the lip stick stain. After a few minutes, the stain should disappear.

Dishwashing detergents can also be used to. Just spread over the stain a small amount of the said mixture and let it set for 10 minutes. Work the stain, from the outside edge inward and wash. You can also use hair spray as a last resort.

As an old trick used by both men and women, just spray it directly on the stain and wait for 15 minutes to clean the hair spray off, just wipe a clean cloth dipped in warm water.
